Hello, Molly here (and over there, and there and there too. And on the next page.)
I began blogging in January of 2006, just after the dramatic conclusion of my second pregnancy. That day is also known as Jackson's Birthday. This paragraph once made incredibly definite statements about the positive sureness finality no doubt indeed of family size, two children only, blah blah blah, aaaaaand surprise baby number three, our daughter Marin, at the end of last summer, and now I think I shall have twelve more just like her. Or even a bit different.
I began this blog to appease family and friends who were looking for daily stories and pictures, and it's grown to what it is today: A Blog Full of Stories and Pictures.
I am a wife and mother of three (three children, not three husbands, that is) and a former elementary school teacher. And now that I've ditched that career for long enough, we're preparing to dive into the deep end of the Homeschool Pool this fall. I am excited all the way to my toes, and the kids can't wait either.
My boys, KJ and Jack, were born in September of 2002 and New Year's Day of 2006 after some real fun with infertility and pre-eclampsia. Then, repeat repeat repeat no more kids, except for when we weren't so infertile after all, Marin Ann, September 2008. And a happy, healthy pregnancy to boot.
I love reading to my kids, taking walks on crisp Autumn afternoons, redecorating, taking pictures, sewing, selling anything that is not nailed to the floor on ebay, and eating freshly baked french bread smothered in ice cold butter.
Throughout 2006 and 2007 I managed to lose almost 100 pounds through a lot of hard work and a smidge of exercise, and am currently (to infinity) working at re-losing fifty of that. Let's continue saying I just had that baby yesterday...and give me time. Unless you offer peanut m&m's to me. In which case thank you. And you're not helping my cause.
I love Oprah, being charitable, and shaping myself into a better person. I work towards becoming the best version of myself every day. I love coffee, hate gum, and clam up in most social situations.
I am a go-getter and a perfectionist, and I happily walk a line somewhere between Christianity and Buddhism. I believe in taking every opportunity to get ahead in life, and that education is the way to get there. I don't sit down much, and I never get enough sleep.
I plan to one day travel to Africa, become a writer by profession, and to retire with my husband near a large body of water. I hope to raise wonderful children who will continue the work of making this world a better place.
